Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to AuctionSetu’s website, auction-discovery tools, Auction Access, Case Story Report orders, enquiries and paid Bid Guidance. It covers personal data supplied directly by you and limited technical information created when you use the service.

AuctionSetu is an independent information and process-support service. Banks, lenders, liquidators, auctioneers, payment providers and official bidding platforms operate under their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Name, mobile number, email address and preferred language.
• Your requested access plan and the auctions you are considering.
• Documents you voluntarily provide for Bid Guidance review, such as identity, address, entity or eligibility documents.
• Support messages, call notes, document-check results and deadline records.
• Billing details, invoice information and payment status received from the payment provider.

Technical information

• IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, security logs and pages visited.
• Essential cookies and, only when enabled with appropriate notice, limited analytics information.

Information we deliberately avoid

We do not ask for or store your auction-platform password, OTP, payment-card details, internet-banking credentials, EMD payment credentials or final bid. Listing details may display the borrower name supplied in the source auction information. We do not extract borrower addresses into catalogue fields.

3. How we use information

• To show auction listings, activate Auction Access and respond to enquiries.
• To deliver Bid Guidance onboarding, bidder-registration guidance, document-readiness support, follow-ups and deadline tracking.
• To process payments, issue invoices and handle refund requests.
• To prevent fraud, investigate security incidents and maintain reliable service.
• To comply with legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
• To improve the product using aggregated or de-identified information.

When Google sign-in is enabled and you choose it, we receive verified identity information from Google and store your Google account identifier and email to link your AuctionSetu account and purchases. We also save your supplied display name, when available, to show your account name and initials. We do not download your profile photo or request access to your Gmail messages, contacts or Google Drive files. You can also sign in using an email code. Essential session cookies keep you signed in; payment notifications do not determine account ownership.

The recently viewed locations feature saves up to four city or state links in your browser’s local storage. On directory pages, we send up to four saved public location links to our server to validate that they are still available; this does not require an account. Use Clear beside the recent locations to remove it, or clear this website’s browser data.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Bid Guidance documents to train public artificial-intelligence models.

Saved auctions and email alerts

If you use Save, we store the auction reference against your verified account so you can return to your shortlist from another device. Saving or buying does not subscribe you to alerts. If you enable Email alerts, we store your search filters, verified email, opt-in time and delivery records. We send matching new current auctions after a successful publication, at most once per day, and do not send WhatsApp alerts. Your email address is shared with our email provider to deliver the digest. Pause or remove searches in My access, or stop all auction-alert emails from the unsubscribe link. This choice does not stop receipts or sign-in emails.

Optional website analytics

If you choose Accept optional cookies, Google Analytics measures visits to public auction browsing pages and traffic sources. Google receives technical device/browser information and analytics identifiers. We do not load the analytics tag before your choice, or intentionally send names, emails, phone numbers, search terms, account information or protected download links. Account, payment/service forms and private-file pages are excluded from our page tracking. Advertising signals and advertising personalization are disabled.

Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Choose Reject optional cookies to decline, or change your choice later through Cookie settings alongside Privacy in the footer; access and payments are unaffected. Closing the popup does not enable analytics. Withdrawal stops future collection and clears our Google Analytics cookies, but does not erase information already received by Google. Browser restrictions or blockers may prevent measurement. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites using its services.

4. When we share information

We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers that help us host the website, store private case files, communicate with you, process payments, maintain security or provide professional support. They may use the information only for the contracted purpose and must protect it.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order or a lawful government request, or when necessary to protect users, prevent fraud or defend legal rights. We do not send your documents to a bank, liquidator or auction platform without your instruction or another lawful basis.

5. Security and retention

Bid Guidance documents must be stored separately from the public auction catalogue with restricted access. AuctionSetu uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Case documents are intended to be deleted within 30 days after the Bid Guidance period ends or the case is closed, unless you request earlier deletion or retention is required for law, fraud prevention or an active dispute. Access, invoice, payment, consent and necessary business records may be retained for the period required by applicable law. Backup copies are removed through the normal backup cycle.

6. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal data we hold, request correction or erasure, withdraw consent for future processing, or raise a grievance. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already carried out lawfully and may prevent us from continuing a requested service.

AuctionSetu is intended for adults. We do not knowingly offer paid access or Bid Guidance to anyone under 18.

7. Grievance and contact

We may update this policy when the service, vendors or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by a revised date and, where appropriate, a direct notice.
