Refund Policy

Straightforward refund rules for AuctionSetu access, manual research and Bid Guidance.

Last updated3 October 2026

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to fees paid directly to AuctionSetu for Auction Files, unlimited access passes, Case Story Reports and Bid Guidance. It does not apply to EMD, tender fees, platform fees, bank charges, professional fees or other amounts paid to a bank, liquidator, auction platform, payment provider or third party.

2. When a full refund is available

A full refund is available when:

  • You cancel an access purchase before the Auction File or unlimited pass is activated.
  • You cancel a legacy ₹1,999 Bid Guidance Assessment before AuctionSetu begins the auction-specific review.
  • You cancel the ₹29,999 upfront Bid Guidance package before onboarding, document review, an auction-specific checklist or other substantive work begins.
  • A duplicate payment or clearly unauthorised payment is confirmed.
  • AuctionSetu cannot deliver a purchased service.
  • A material technical problem prevents access and AuctionSetu cannot restore it within a reasonable time.
  • Applicable consumer law requires a refund.

3. After access or substantive work has started

Once working access to the purchased Auction File or unlimited pass has been provided, a change of mind or non-use alone does not qualify for a refund. If promised digital content is materially unavailable, we will try to restore the purchased access or offer a replacement you accept. If we cannot deliver the purchased access, we will refund it.

The ₹29,999 upfront Bid Guidance package covers up to three auction applications within 90 days of confirmed payment. If you cancel partway through the package, or AuctionSetu cannot continue, we refund the unused portion. Deductions are limited to work actually delivered at values disclosed and agreed before payment; we provide an itemised calculation and do not deduct merely for reserved capacity. If no value was agreed for incomplete work, no deduction is made for that work.

Existing split-payment orders keep their original refund terms. The ₹1,999 assessment covers an auction-specific review and focused call. Cancellation before the review begins qualifies for a full refund; after both are delivered, change of mind or a decision not to continue alone does not. For a partially completed assessment, only work actually delivered at a value disclosed and agreed before work began can be deducted; absent an agreed value, no deduction is made for incomplete assessment work. An approved original ₹24,999 package still has a ₹23,000 balance with the ₹1,999 assessment credited once. Cancellation before substantive package work qualifies for a full refund of the balance; partial-package refunds follow the original unused-work and itemised-deduction rules, with no charge merely for reserved capacity.

Nothing in this policy limits refunds or other remedies required by applicable consumer law, including remedies for deficient or misrepresented services.

4. Auction outcomes and third-party changes

Auction Access provides information and Bid Guidance provides process support; neither guarantees an auction outcome. The following events alone do not entitle you to a refund for working access or services already delivered:

  • An auction is postponed, cancelled, withdrawn, extended or its terms change.
  • An official notice or contact detail supplied by a third party is later corrected.
  • A bank, liquidator or platform rejects or delays bidder registration or documents.
  • You are ineligible, miss a deadline, choose not to bid, do not win or withdraw.
  • Financing is unavailable or inspection, valuation, title or legal review changes your decision.
  • A third-party website, payment system or auction platform is temporarily unavailable.

The cancellation rights for unused guidance in section 3 and your statutory rights still apply. We will continue providing the purchased service where possible unless you cancel.

5. How to request a refund

Email support@auctionsetu.com with your name, payment reference, payment date and reason. Never send a password, OTP or full payment-card number.

We will acknowledge the request, check the service record and communicate the decision. Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method and initiated within seven business days of approval; the bank or payment provider may take additional time to credit them.

If you believe a payment is unauthorised, contact your bank or payment provider promptly as well as AuctionSetu.

6. Case Story Report guarantee

One payment of ₹25,000 covers research for one selected auction. If we cannot trace a relevant case with enough accessible material to produce the promised research report, we refund the full ₹25,000 to the original payment method. There is no separate non-refundable screening fee.

If a researchable case is found and we deliver the sourced report, an uneventful history, an unfavourable finding or a decision not to bid does not by itself qualify for a refund. If we cannot deliver the report promised, the full-refund rule in section 2 applies. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
